Robert de la FontainePresident
With a degree in finance from the Université de Sherbrooke, Robert de La Fontaine occupied several key roles within the family business before succeeding his father as President in 1982. Both a visionary and a leader, he has implemented several modern management practices, such as lean manufacturing. While overseeing the day-to-day management of the business and its strategic direction, he remains closely involved with our clients and our products’ markets.
Gabriel de La Fontaine, Eng.General Manager
With an academic background that combines mechanical engineering and business administration, Gabriel de La Fontaine is an expert in productivity, operational efficiency and cost control. Since his appointment to his role in 2012, he has supervised and managed all departments of the company with one goal in mind: total quality. His analytical skills and decisive attitude are powerful assets in the management of the company’s operations
Stéphane RicherBusiness Development Director
With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Stéphane Richer has over 25 years of experience in product management, manufacturing planning and logistics management, from his time with leading-edge companies including Bombardier (recreational products) and Héroux-Devtek (landing gear). A strategic and multi-talented leader, he manages business development, market delivery and brand marketing for DE LA FONTAINE in Canada and around the world.
André MaroisChief Financial Officer, M.Sc. Finance, CPA, CGA
With a Bachelor of Business Administration, Management Concentration, André also holds a Master’s in Finance from the Université de Sherbrooke as well as CPA and CGA professional accounting designations. Responsible for finance, accounting and procurement at DE LA FONTAINE, he manages the company’s financial strategy and investment planning in order to support the company’s activities and ensure effective growth.
Éric LajeunesseLogistics Manager
With over 25 years of experience, Éric holds college degrees in transportation logistics and industrial electronics from the Cégep de Sherbrooke. Responsible for production planning, transportation logistics and the shipping and receiving of merchandise, his role is to optimize customer service in terms of transportation negotiation, deadline compliance and speed of delivery of steel doors and frames.
Guillaume Gauthier, Eng.Sales and Estimation Manager
With a diploma in mechanical engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke and a member of the Order of Quebec Engineers, Guillaume has advanced through several roles in recent years at DE LA FONTAINE, including as a purchaser, estimator, technical representative and product manager. His role as an expert in steel doors and frames, and as the manager of the sales and estimation team, is to lead a team dedicated to customer service.
Philippe Pellerin, Eng.Engineering Manager
Holding a bachelor of mechanical engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke, Philippe has over 15 years of experience in the manufacturing sector as a designer and an engineer. A product configuration and CAD automation specialist, he was actively involved in the implementation of DE LA FONTAINE’s new integrated management system. He ensures the continuous improvement of the engineering department in order to improve KPI performance.
Steve CompagnatProduction Manager
Responsible for a team of over 100 employees in production, supervision and maintenance, Steve has close to 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically in the sheet metal processing sector. Customer focus is his primary objective, and he continually seeks to optimize the production line in order to ensure production, on-time delivery and product quality.
